Whole Prey Rabbit

The Whole Prey Rabbit Grind is a great way to achieve the benefits of feeding whole prey for picky eaters.

This grind is the whole rabbit with some fur, minus the bladder and intestines. These rabbits have had the majority of the fur removed, but we do leave a minimal amount (on the head, feet, and tail) so we don’t miss out on the benefits fur has to offer.

Can Our Pets Eat Fur?

Fur is a natural source of fiber and manganese. It literally sweeps digestive system removing debris and toxins in the digestive lining that can gather over time and is known to harbor fungi and bacteria and be an attractive environment for gut yeast.

Our rabbits are raised on grass and clover and are fed fresh veggies, alpha pellets, and grass hay.

They are hormone, antibiotic and preservative free, and have not been enhanced in any way. Freshly harvested and prepared. Never high heat pasteurized or processed by HPP (high-pressure pasteurization).

The Cloven Raw Grinds are a great baseline and can be fed as a meal, but we do recommend supplementing to avoid any nutritional gaps. Always consult with your nutritionist to find the diet plan and feeding schedule that works best for your pet. As with all of our products, these animals are sourced locally, from family farm raised, non-GMO colonies. We partner with locals who follow sustainable rabbit production practices and have high standards of animal husbandry and care.

Some variances in this grind from one batch to the next will occur and are expected. These batches are made from whole animals that are harvested and processed in house.

Feeding & Supplementation

Our products are labeled for intermittent and supplementing feeding as they are not complete and balanced in accordance with AAFCO (the US accepted standard for kibble).

Cloven grinds are a great starting point and baseline, but are not intended to make up the entirety of your pet's diet. We believe every pet is a unique individual and that there is not a "one size fits all" answer in regards to how to much to feed or what supplements/nutrients to add. Research and/or working with a certified animal nutritionist is important in learning the proper amounts to feed and the supplementation necessary to tailor your pet's diet to their needs specifically.
